"SHANKHA"..........the Conch Shell

In English language we can call it "Conch Shell" but in the Sanskrit we say it "Shankh".
As per the holy verse which is regularly chanted during the "Puja" ritual, its the vibration emanating on blowing it destroys the disease causing germs in the atmosphere. That is the reason it has a important place in Ayurved & medicine.
